"I believe in the importance of empathy and compassion because I see, if all of us can all come together, we can all be advocates of change. And I want to inspire and encourage everyone to take up personal advocacy.” ~Valerie Weigmann

Valerie Weigmann was crowned Miss World Philippines 2014, who bested out 25 other contestants on October 12, 2014, at the SM MOA Arena.

Wiegmann, who represents Albay in the said pageant was the crowd favorite of the said pageant. For this, she also won the majority of the awards. Valerie is not new in showbiz industry which has been one of the factors of her popularity in the competition. She is a regular co-host of the noontime show, "Eat Bulaga" and also appeared as a housemate of the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 2" way back in 2008.

Aside from representing Bicol region, especially Albay province, what I like about Valerie is her kindness. She is one of the advocates of Musikaramay, a movement that uses music to raise funds to help other people. She is another Bicolana beauty to represent the country in an international pageant this year, following Yvethe Marie Santiago who will be competing to Ms. Supranational 2014.

Valerie also won Best in Swimsuit, Best in Long Gown Best in Fashion Runway, Miss World CamSur, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Miss Bench, Miss Reducin, Miss Blue Water Day Spa, Miss Olay, Jesi Mendez Salon Ambassador and Miss Hana Shampoo.

She will be replacing Megan Young's throne as Ms. World Philippines and will be representing the country in Ms. World 2014 in London, England.
